Asheville Transit Permanent Change Rt 4 & 8 Print E-mail

Rt. 4 & 8 - Permanent Change

Due to construction, Aston St. (between Lexington Ave. and Biltmore Ave.) will be closed, starting Monday, March 21st.  This will require Asheville Transit Rt. 4 Kenilworth/Asheville Mall and Rt. 8 Biltmore Ave./Shiloh to change their routes permanently.

Route 4 & 8

  • Discontinue inbound service (and use of bus stops) on Biltmore Ave. north of Hilliard Ave. and on Aston St.
  • The bus-stop on Biltmore at Hilliard north bound will be removed, a new bus stop on Hilliard Ave. at South Lexington Ave. will be installed.

The schedule for both routes will remain the same.
