Ozone Season Kick-off/Press Conference Print E-mail
   

The Ozone Season Kickoff Event and Press Conference will be held on Wednesday, March 30 from 8:30am to 11am at the Land of Sky Regional Council office at 339 New Leicester Hwy, Suite 140, Asheville. This is our annual event where we inform the media, community leaders and public about air quality and climate change issues, trends and programs to address the issues. Speakers will discuss new federal boiler rules for industry and utilities, new heavy duty truck idle reduction rules, efforts to reduce emissions from vehicles in the region including fire trucks retrofits and the regional electric vehicle get ready initiative. We need your assistance to get this information out to the public. Please make plans to attend.

Come early for coffee and danish and pre-event interviews with speakers.
