Sleepy cast members of NBC's TODAY show slid into the back seat of their sedan yesterday morning for a televised look at how carpooling can help America save fuel and cut greenhouse gases. As NBC explains: "Al, Matt, Meredith and Ann drive in to work together as part of a new series called TODAY Goes Green, which focuses on the small ways we can be kind to the environment."

In addition to their coffee, donuts and fresh-squeezed merriment, the TODAY gang delivered some great stats and helpful exposure about the virtues of 'pooling and transit. Click here to pull up the Tuesday Jan. 22nd show (and be prepared to sit through a 30-second commercial on the front end).
